Why your book belongs at Balboa Press
Balboa Press exists because our founder was once where you are now. In 1984, Louise Hay self-published her first two books because no one else would. They sold more than 35 million copies, and the company she built around them became Hay House. She never forgot how it started—and created Balboa Press so that authors with something worth saying wouldn't have to wait for permission either.
Where it could go from here
Hay House representatives review Balboa Press titles regularly, looking for authors to sign. Some have made that crossing: Bronnie Ware's The Top Five Regrets of the Dying, Mark Crowley's Lead from the Heart, and Shawn Leonard's Spirit Talker began here and are now Hay House books.
Being reviewed is not the same as being signed, and most Balboa Press authors publish with us and build their readership independently. But the door is a real one, and it is open to every book in our catalog—including yours.
