Chapter 27: My Warrior Guides: From Soldier to Aztec
Spirit Guides Shift with Our Evolution
In previous chapters, you explored ways to connect with your own guides and deepen that relationship. Now, I turn to sharing my personal journey with guides who have walked beside me. In this chapter, you’ll meet my Warrior Guides, from the Spirit of a soldier to an Aztec guardian. I share these stories not only to reveal how my path is protected but also to show you the ways guides can appear and the profound lessons they carry. By reading these stories, you may recognize echoes of your own guides, and trust in the support that surrounds you.
Male Soldier – My Main Guide
In my twenties, I began seeing a young man dressed in an Australian military uniform, wearing a khaki slouch hat from WWI. He looked about nineteen years old and stood around six feet tall. Every time he appeared, a wave of calm and happiness washed over me. I had glimpses of him out of the corner of my left eye, like a shimmer out of range of my full vision. He appeared before something big unfolded, whether it was good or challenging. I know now that if I see him standing nearby, it’s a sign that change is approaching.
My family and I were living near the beach on the Central Coast in New South Wales. I’d been waiting for a phone call about a permanent placement with the NSW Department of Education, and the next morning, the call came through about a primary school teaching position. Two days before, I’d caught sight of my Main Guide and knew that something was coming. Seeing him was always an omen, though I never knew if it was going to be good or bad.
The Department of Education offered me a three-year teaching position in Broken Hill. A friend and I traveled there by train so I could meet the school principal and see what the town of Broken Hill was like. I liked the school, and the town had sports facilities for my sons. We stayed two nights with the principal, and I took the job. On both nights, I saw my male guide standing near my bedroom door smiling at me.
When I got home from visiting Broken Hill, our family started packing to move. We only had three weeks until school started, so it was a chaotic time packing the house and selling things. Neither my family nor Grant’s was happy about us moving so far away—twelve hours’ drive—because our parents would not be able to see their grandsons as much.
My sons and I moved to Broken Hill first, and Grant remained behind to fulfill his work commitments. Every morning and night, the same guide appeared to me, always wearing his khaki uniform, standing tall, and giving me a reassuring smile.
My male soldier stayed with me until I turned forty-five. Throughout those years, he was the only Spirit Guide who revealed himself to me. We never spoke, but his presence spoke volumes. Each time he appeared, his smile spread through my heart, and I sensed his approval. Whatever I was doing, I saw it as a sign to keep going.
One night in a dream, he came to me and explained his time with me had reached completion, that a new Guide would step in, but that the guide wouldn’t be from my maternal or paternal line, as there was no one who held a high enough vibration to guide me to the next level. He turned to leave, smiled over his shoulder, and said, “Your whole guidance team is being upgraded!”
Aztec Female Warrior Guide – My New Main Guide
My Aztec Female Warrior became my next Main Guide. I called her “Aztec.” She came from fourteenth-century Mexico and was a fierce Warrior who had helped claim land from neighboring regions to build the Aztec Empire. Women in the Aztec era had multifaceted roles, including being Warriors and fighting alongside the men when needed.
Aztec marked a transformative shift for me. She became the first guide I could hear, see, and talk with. Her vibration felt commanding but nurturing, like standing between the force of a river and the warmth of the sun. She served as a bridge, opening my connection to the rest of my guidance team. Her role carried a dual purpose, to help me awaken my strength, authenticity, and voice, and to support me in clearing hidden trauma, pain, and the fragments of my shadow self. The divine chose her for me due to her balanced Warrior’s fire and Goddess’ grace, both qualities I needed to awaken and embody within myself.
After meeting Aztec, I felt extreme happiness. She embodied strength and bravery and had a kind, nurturing Spirit. Together, we formed a solid bond, connected through mind, body, and Spirit. Under her guidance, my growth and Clairvoyance expanded. I understood the depths of my darkness, my secrets, and my emotions, as well as the highs and lows, and the celebrations unfolding in my life.
In my physical body, I had felt alone and lost, as if no one understood me. Aztec brought comfort and love into those empty spaces. She stayed close, communicating through jokes, funny images, and playful thoughts. She became my constant companion. Together, we explored the galactic realms, did healings, and worked on planetary restoration (she helped me heal the earth). Through this work, I deepened my knowledge, expanded my frequency, and learned to use energy in healings, to open and close portals for Earth’s upgrade. Aztec walked beside me through the most transformative moments of my life.
To embody the courage, discipline, and strength of your own Warrior self, you can use Rituals to awaken your inner sovereignty and bring that energy into your daily life. The Rituals below will help you connect with this aspect of your Spirit.
Rituals to Connect with Your Warrior Self
Warrior Breath Practice
Stand strong with your feet grounded on the earth. Inhale through your nose. Exhale through your mouth with a sound or growl. Repeat five to ten times. This awakens your primal energy, clears stuck emotions, and activates your solar plexus center. Feel yourself rise, rooted, and unafraid to embody the Warrior within.
Write Your Soul’s Warrior Code
Reflect and write down five to ten core values or vows that guide you as a Warrior of Light. For example, you might write, “I am strong and confident. I protect the vulnerable. I stand for peace.” Let this become your personal Warrior code. Write it, speak it, and live by it, so that your heart, mind, and actions align with the truth of who you are.
