Hi! I’m Rowan. I love my home where its sunny andwarm. But guess what? Last week, I got to fly on a plane to visit my Nonni! Nonni lives in a townhouse that is part of a little village. A courtyard filled with plants runs between the homes. Lots of butterflies live there. The best part? Right next to her home are some enchanted woods. They look like they are from a storybook, with twisty trees, flowers and a trickly stream that sings as it dances over the rocks. Sometimes I see a bunny hopping or a squirrel staring at me like I’m lost. I even saw a chipmunk stuffing its cheeks so full of acorns there was no room for more! Birds chirp and share secrets. A deer, almost hidden, looked right at me. It felt like we understood each other without saying a word. Every morning, we walk Nonni’s small dog, Khaleesi. She is a Yorkie, but she thinks she is a wolf. She struts down the path like she owns it. This morning, something weird happened. As we walked past a patch of small flowers, something sparkled. Not just regular sparkle. More like a magic sparkle. I squinted, then tiptoed closer. That’s when I saw her.
