This book explains the philosophy of why I have a structure I foloow from a set year long calendar that can be "tweaked" every month if necessary. My experience is once this is set, every one in your building is clear on the road map set out for the year and is appreciative of lots of heads up time. Speaking directly face to face is imposible to duplicate on zoom or through emails. We have certainly learned that in spades over the last two years. These meetings can still be accomplished via zoom. I would strongly suggest that as soon as it is safe to do so, resume in person with masks. You may want to shorten these meetings to 30 minutes. JUST MEET. Body language speaks louder than words. setting out clear expectations in both your staff handbook and family handbooks sets the foundation for your school year. No need to recreate the wheel. I have a thorough copy of each for you on my website, wwwmargdodds.com. All you need to do adjust it to your own school buildig.
