I didn’t see the logic of removing an entire vital organ and calling it a colitis “cure”. If my colon is diseased, there should be a way to fix it, not just cut it out. Would you cut your head off if you had a headache? So, against my doctors’ advice, and to their complete surprise, I refused surgery. I still remember having only one recurring thought: “There must be a better way…There must be a better way…There must be a better way…” My doctors, having no other options to offer, gave up on me. But I didn’t give up on myself. I decided to find a better way to stop my suffering...to find a way to keep my beloved colon, or... die trying. As you may have guessed by now - I didn't die. For 30 years, I searched for knowledge on how to deal with this chronic debilitating disease. My own suffering with IBD motivated my scientific research and professional clinical experience as a holistic nutritionist in a very personal way. I found a way to heal myself.
