Dusk Memories mushy red sweetness over lips onto tongue sipping warm rose tea last of this day's sun settles in streaks on the wooden floor this is the gloaming the tween time sharp edges soften everything in the room turns gooey and golden like the time my mother tucked me into my bed of green and I turned into a strawberry

About the Book
This little book of poems is rich with insight. There are magical word images that help us connect with the natural world. There is insight into experiences that are common and yet utterly unusual. Brenda has a gift of calm, patient, observation. She honed her gifts from years of experience as a Midwife, sharing in the sacred gift of birth. Her unusual perspective comes from being an Anglo female, who lived on two Indian reservations, loving the people and welcoming their babies onto the planet. She wrote for herself and she wrote for you.
About the Author
Brenda wrote short poems to express some of the indescribable experiences she has had. She writes about bringing life onto our planet, helping her father die the way he wanted, living as a minority on Indian reservations, and connecting intimately with nature. Woven through it all are words to empower women and the sharing of endless love for our mother earth.
