Sanctuary When the world crowds around me I long for peace again To wander in the wilderness To rest in a quiet glen For the forest is understanding Each tree a silent friend No pity or malice given Only sanctuary On which to depend.

About the Author
Cecilia’s passion for the land and love of simple living is brought to life through her art. She has always been inspired by her Celtic heritage and Cape Breton home. She now spends her summers entertaining guests from all over the world, through her position as a Scottish Gaelic Animator at the spectacular Highland Village in Iona, Cape Breton. Patricia shares her mother’s love for the Island, particularly the beautiful Bras D’Or. She enjoys learning almost anything and spending time with her granddaughters. Coaching is one of her many passions and she is currently working on her next book. “Lighten the Eff Up! Strategies for a Joyful Life”
