Tandy, Pene and John were having tea and Tandy said, “I have seen Kangaroos, Koalas, Emus, Wombats and even a Platypus, I would like to go to Africa to see a Lion, it not the same seeing a beautiful lion in a zoo I would like to see them running free."
Pene and John said that sounds great let’s all go. So, Tandy organised a trip and they got on a big airplane and started their great adventure.
Tandy, Pene’s mum, wanted to go to Africa to see lions in the wild, a lifelong dream—she was seventy-nine years old. During this trip, Pene and John felt they could help a little community school, so the idea of the books took hold. They hope to use any proceeds to help this community school.
