1 INTRODUCTION
Having always looked outside of myself in search of peace and happiness, I know now I never truly experienced it. In order for me to feel moments of happiness, I was either dependent on another person, a successful career, a holiday or even a new outfit (I’m a reformed shopaholic). After a while though, I'd find this person no longer made me happy, I became bored with my career, the holiday ended and my new outfit once worn had lost its appeal.
This cycle repeated itself for many years until I woke one day, completely dissatisfied with the life I was living and consumed with anxiety. I decided I didn't want to feel like that anymore, so I made the decision to change, and that's where my journey began.
Initially I didn't know that I was on a journey, and I certainly had no idea what steps I needed to take. All I was chasing was the feeling of genuine peace and happiness.
After dedicating a year solely to healing myself, I first began to feel oneness. You will not understand this connection in your mind, it’s a feeling in your heart. A feeling of love, for yourself, love for others and love for the universe.
I was blissfully happy and at peace without having achieved my life goals and desires. It wasn’t because I no longer had desires, I’m a HUGE dreamer, but the peace I felt came from rising above the ego mind through integrating my soul (heart) consciousness.
Oneness consciousness is home. For those that have a deep inner desire to return home, this is oneness you are seeking. Imagine a life without being controlled by your ego mind, where you experience complete surrender in stillness without thought. This is oneness.
I truly believe we all deserve to live a life free from our relentless thoughts (ego), in peace living our soul purpose. It is this belief that provides the fuel to share my journey and teachings with the world.
My aim is to guide you home to the place that already exists within you. It’s about undoing everything you’ve known up until now so you can reconnect with the love, compassion and strength that you are. If you commit to a healing journey, you will rediscover your true life purpose and you will rediscover the real you. It will bring you the love, peace and joy you’ve been longing for.
Don’t let me deceive you with the good stuff. I found this journey extremely tough, but it was because I know I made every mistake I could make, creating my own suffering time and time again.
I want to share my learnings with you in hope you don’t cause yourself unnecessary suffering like I did.
This journey should be empowering, enlightening and yes challenging at times, but it shouldn’t make you suffer.
My guide is set out in days 1–30, each day providing you with teachings, guidance, exercises and/or reflection points to support you through your journey to oneness.
I also ask that during reflection points you be completely honest with yourself; if you’re not, then you may not benefit entirely from the exercise.

2 MAKING THE CHOICE TO CHANGE
DAY 1
It takes courage to change your life. The truth is you can do anything, but you’ve got to believe it.
I woke up one day unhappy, completely unsatisfied with life and consumed by anxiety. On this day, I decided I didn't want to feel like this anymore, so I began the beautiful, challenging, emotional journey to find myself. To connect with the person I already was but was hidden beneath the years of society programming and self-emotional abuse. And on this day, my life changed forever … just like that.
You can also feel this beautiful place of oneness, and it all starts by changing your mindset. Our perception and thoughts about ourselves are our biggest stumbling blocks, and it’s because as children we’re institutionalised that we must take directions and follow society’s rules.
I stumbled across this truthful excerpt from a Matt Haig book called The World, and it really opened my eyes, as I’m sure it will yours:
“The World is increasingly designed to depress us. Happiness isn’t very good for the economy. If we were happy with what we had, why would we need more? How do you sell an anti-ageing moisturiser? You make someone worry about ageing. How do you get people to vote for a political party? You make them worry about immigration. How do you get them to buy insurance? By making them worry about everything. How do you get them to have plastic surgery? By highlighting their physical flaws. How do you get them to watch a TV show? By making them worry about missing out. How do you get them to buy a new smartphone? By making them feel like they are being left behind. To be calm becomes a kind of revolutionary act. To be happy with your own non-upgraded existence. To be comfortable with our messy, human selves, would not be good for business.”
Pretty amazing words huh! I want you to keep this excerpt in your mind and every time you find yourself being negative towards yourself bring this to the forefront and think about where it might be coming from.
To start your journey, I would like you to reflect upon the goals you wish to achieve throughout this guide. Take your time, be realistic and specific with your goals and also include why this goal is important to you.
