Dreaming about this sherbet colored sky. Wishing it was an ice cream cone one thousand feet high. I would lick and lick and lick until my tongue would want to cry. My brain would freeze down to my knees because I'd eat as much as I would please. My frozen lips, I couldn't speak. I couldn't move or feel my cheeks. So, I'd just lay there and sigh as the time would pass by. And when my cone began to drip and the colors started to melt; I won't forget this sherbet sky or just how great I felt.

About the Author
Maleeh was born and raised in Flint, Michigan. She began writing at the age of 8 years old. It was at that time she won first place in a writing contest with her short story titled, Me and My Shadow. Her passion for reading, writing, and rhyming began after her grandmother introduced her to a collection of Dr. Seuss’ books. She enjoys using vivid imagery when writing as a way to entice the readers senses and imagination.
