A Strong Wind Blows
A strong wind blows,
where all the stillness goes,
it retreats into the quiet minds of a select few
who offer it safe harbour until the storm passes through,
then gently released it does weightlessly sit
waiting for who’s ready to receive some of it.
Expand and fill the space with grace! The collection Bliss Two seamlessly follows its predecessor, Bliss. In simple and unique ways, these poems show how enlightenment comes to us only in the stillness of a quiet mind.
A gentle expansion of awareness can be encountered with the turning of each page, leading to a soothing state of consciousness where the higher self-rests.
“Calm Your Mind”
Calm your mind and close your eyes,
leave the space that form occupies,
feel your ability to effortlessly fly
and freely, joyfully fill the sky.
Also delve into nature as poet Debs Carling shares what can be learned from a fluffy white cloud, a sloth, and even a buzzing bee. Find simple truths in short poems like “Silence” in which Carling commands, “To master the space you are in, silence the place deep within.” This is more than a poetry book; it is a wonderfully insightful journey into the essence of oneness and mastery of inner peace.
About the Author
Debs Carling is a retired commercial helicopter pilot who lives on the east coast of Australia. A flying job in the Kimberley region for three years exposed her to 425,000 square kilometres of spectacular and largely untouched landscape. In the calm and serene setting she connected to her higher self. A flow of poems came to her exploring the subtle layers within the Universe waiting to be discovered. ‘BLISS 2’ is her second book.
