The Cycles of Nicholas is about finding peace as illustrated by the never ending challenges of raising my disabled/ addicted son. The Cycles of Nicholas is a heartbreaking recollection of the years spent raising a child with severe special needs and the manifestations and cycles of that diagnosis. In a world where addiction is rampant, the increased percentage of infants born with FAS, the pain and shame of addiction controls the overwhelming struggles of many of us. About the Author
The author,’’Inspired’’ has spent decades educating and advocating for children and adults with special needs in public and private schools in multiple states. Now semi-retired she supervises future special education teachers.’’ Inspired’’ adopted a five year old child diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome from a country notorious for alcohol abuse. Spending decades advocating for her son she now speaks at various’’al- anon and nar- anon’’venues delivering the message of hope to those afflicted with drug/alcohol abuse.
