About the Author

The author has 16 years experience working with at-risk youth and high-risk communities in her home country, Trinidad and Tobago. She enrolled in a Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies at the University of Notre Dame, Australia. She has participated in Cropper Foundation Residential Workshop for Caribbean writers in 2010. Wasafiri Magazine later published three of her poems in the June 2013 issue. She has also performed at various open mikes and poetry readings in her home country. She has the ability to be both a literary and visual artist with her unique perspective not only through the use of light on various topics but with her in-depth social experiences.
