Being addicted to the easy way out costs you the opportunity to evolve. Begin to see how lazy we have gotten in our evolution. We are making it easier and easier to exist. For example, again we look at the current handheld computers that now serve dual purposes as telephones. The easy way out from an uncomfortable situation, such as the conversation with your family, friends, or coworkers and so many other situations, is to take yourself to the World Wide Web to look for a distraction. Or, maybe it’s to get on social media, where it is far easier to communicate with others in written dialogue versus a verbal conversation. Or perhaps, sending text messages as a form of communication over conversation.
Have you ever noticed how different people can be on social media, text messages, online dating websites, and other digital venues? Isn’t it fascinating or, at the very least, intriguing to see how very different their persona really can be? At times, it’s quite a striking difference. It’s almost as if you ask yourself, “Is this the same person?” What blocks that person from communicating himself as they really are through face to face communication is fear. It is fear of being with another human being. Yet again, we say that addiction to the easy way out has won over in these situations as well.

About the Book
Will Richardson saw addiction destroy his father’s life and remove him from the children he loved so much.
