At Sharon's funeral, I caught up with my other cousin Vicki, who I hadn't seen for several years. I also met Pete in 2010, which left us all on an interesting journey. Fate took the three of us back to country, and on our journey, our presence was felt. Past lives played a part in our return, and while visions and dreams were noticeable, the changes that were occurring for all of us, were hard to explain at the time. I had to use my intuition on many occasions. There is also a Ngarrindjeri story that I felt fitted into our lives, and to me explained why we were meant to meet at the time we did. Life has many twists and turns, but if we go with them, there is always an outcome. When Pete and I had a year apart, we both found and searched out other independent life experiences. To me there was a lesson about frustration. I recognized this as a necessary emotion, and when two people are having continual differences of opinions, it is time for change. This can be a positive step, because if we continue with stress in our life, it will ultimately lead to physical,mental and spiritual illness. When there is a need to move on , much courage is warranted. Separation is stressful for both partners, but the ultimate goal is to find freedom, to search for your own personal, deeper self. Partnerships I found, took me away from my own journey, and many times I was made to feel guilty. The art of listening was to revise my five authentic senses, and to start to revert to my ancestors five intuitive senses. I was now starting to integrate my senses, and listen to stories that I was encountering through my work. The clairvoyance for seeing relates to the head, the clairaudience for hearing relates to the head, the clairsentience for body sensation relates to the miwi (gut), the clairalience for smelling relates to the head, and the clairgustance for tasting, also relates to the head. This is why the trinity of understanding how the head,gut and head works with our ancient philosophy, because there was a knowing that if there is discord between the head and the miwi(gut), illness will set in, and spirit will deplete.

About the Book
My book is meant to show the holistic intelligence of our traditional people. Surviving for over sixty thousand years meant the whole brain had to be utilized. The education I received left me stifled as my emotional intelligence was more in need of attention than my IQ, which was ordinary. I found the need to challenge that which was lacking in my schooling years and be passionate about change after revisiting education in the areas that I found interesting while learning as a mature-age student.
About the Author
My book covers my Aboriginal great grand-dads spiritual journey relating to the secret of his parents to his death at Glenside Mental Hospital in 1926. Investigating how Two Way Culture assimilation reacted on his physical, mental and spiritual health, drove me to work in community settings involving aged care, mental health and Families S.A. (a government organisation that homed Aboriginal children in care) These stories helped me understand the traumas that vulnerable people endured, making it my passion to integrate skills that I used personally to benefit my holistic health.
