"A ship. A big ship. Look there." Lofty spied from high up in the sails.
Everyone cheered and ran to the side of the pirate ship to wave.
captain John blew steam from his ears.
"We are bad old mean pirates, and we will plunder that ship."
All of the pirates looked at captain John.
"Are you sure captain? They look bigger than us." Nelson asked.
"I do so hate fighting." One of the pirates cried.
Most pirates have a parrot on their shoulder. Have you ever wondered how they find them? In this story, Captain John, a bad, mean old pirate, tries to plunder a very nice, posh ship. But the posh ship’s parrot takes a fancy to a watch on a long gold chain and takes some coaxing from Captain John to give it up.

Tracey C Ayres grew up mainly in England with her parents and five siblings. Surrounded by a motley crew of animals with a touch of chaos, her childhood was filled with adventurous fun.
After leaving school and finishing further studies, she set off on on her own adventures around the world. After meeting her husband Steve they moved to a farm in Australia where they have pets.
When Tracey isn't writing she love's playing with her grandchildren, painting, drawing and cooking. Tracey writes from a converted shipping container set among the gum trees on their property.
