Q sat for weeks in a cold kennel. She was scared, but she knew she needed to be brave. She was responsible for the safety and health of her babies. As each day and night passed, she envisioned a life much better than this. Not so much for herself, but for her children. She knew each one of them deserved a life she had never known, but had only imagined. She whispered to each of them as they lay near her belly, "I promise you my darlings, one day you will all be safe."
Safe Now: A Journey from Fear to Peace is a story about a dog named Cutie and her pups. They were dropped off at an overcrowded and understaffed shelter. Cutie knows that there is a life filled with love waiting for them.
Will she find that life? With the help of a devoted group of people and their passion to help as many of these sweet dogs as possible, Cutie and her family find that love is very powerful and can change fear to peace.
