Can you relate? You are facing life without a partner or loved one, heartbroken and full of heartache. You are feeling bereft, at a loss and steeped in grief. You are worried about your loved one who has died. You wonder if there is anything after physical death, when seemingly out of no where you hear a song, see something unexpected, smell a fragrance, feel a presence, hear a story or read a sentence or two that touches you. You come across something that comforts, soothes your misery and opens the door to hope. This short story describes one person’s experience in the weeks following the death of her husband.

About the Author

Nancy has discovered the great power and unique value of challenging times as we are open to them and don’t let our fears dictate our lives. Because she is a single Elder herself, she understands, especially, what many women go through when a loved one dies, relationships end or the body ages and health concerns become more significant. Nancy teaches, coaches, trains and provides bodywork to Elders and those in care giving roles and helping professions. With insight and the latest heart based science tools and practices, pain and negativity can be transformed….so that we can live more joyfully, effectively and in greater alignment with our core values….no mater what the current life circumstances. She holds a masters degree in education and is a New York State licensed massage therapist and HeartMath coach/trainer. Nancy is the founder and director of Hadley Healing Arts located in Hadley, NY – a Heart Ambassadors Heart Center dedicated to creating peace and developing a sense of well being in the world, one person at a time.
