Our perception of spirituality and transformation in its present form didn’t just start with the Enlightenment. From our Greek forefathers, we learned that what was unseen and spiritual was good and what was seen was evil. The belief that higher spirituality exists in the transcendence of the material realms to the subtler realms of the higher planes of existence has been promoted in the West roughly from Augustine to Copernicus. However, from both Kabbalist text and Tantric writings, we learn it is the tapestry of our lives woven from and by Source energy, which brings Essence into the physical— the crown jewel of spirituality—the embodiment of Essence. As a matter of fact, the Kabbalists teach us the purpose of Creation itself is from God’s passion-driven desire to have a dwelling place in the physical realm, that everything set before us on our journey is designed to bring us into this destination. It is the crown of Creation.
This journey to which we are invited—to manifestation, to embodiment—is ground zero for the human life. It is the reason we get up in the morning. As we consciously engage in the journey, feelings of competence and power of purpose arise, opening to us a sense of direction. This sense of direction has a focused meaning because it is empowered by the magnetic resonance of lock and key mechanism between the energetic centers imprinted on our bodies, known as the Chakras, and the Realms of the energetic web in which we live, the blueprint of Creation.
I believe this to be true because, as we are drawn by the Unknown, the Mystery, into the adventure, as we lean in, as we yield, there is hope for transformation, for a spark of the Divine to be released, a new vision to be unfolded, an unexpected turn to be met on our feet, for an unexplored path to be taken, for an idea to take shape. This passion-driven consciousness, when chosen, can move us into our True Selves because consciousness equals choice.
At the end of the day, we are going to grow whether drawn by the Light of the future or jolted by the crisis or challenge of the moment. Either way, we grow. And all challenges that come, whether physical, mental, or emotional, come to bring out some hidden potential power of our soul yet unexpressed. It is the purpose of this book to present the energy available to us to meet those challenges, release those powers, and bring us into the experience of Essence.
If one word, one phrase, one concept within this book sparks something in the reader and their response to that spark leads them to another book or song or interaction or class or even just a question that begins to draw them deeper into knowing who they really are, the work has served its purpose.
Finally, because the North Star, the Resident Resonance of our Essence, guides the journey, the manifestation is not only a homecoming and an answered call to our original design, but a fulfillment of the emergent purpose in the eternal timing of our birth ... for a time such as this.
