About the Book

The Truth in Plenty. The Plenty is minutes. No clock on the pen. The Plenty is the wide scattershot of Grace that permeates our lives, some of which we wake up to, as we open ourselves to the melodic and the unsung, to the lustrous and the plain, to the mostly simple, ordinary and everyday, to the Truth of what is.

About the Author

Joe Wise’s music has been sung around the world since the mid-sixties. His retreat work spans almost five decades, and his travels to speak and sing cover much of the globe. He holds two bachelor’s degrees and two master’s degrees and has studied in philosophy, education, theology, psychology and counseling. His most recent focus has been integrating therapeutic journaling into addiction treatment centers’ programs. An award winning painter and published author, Wise is an advocate for living an examined life, while releasing your story. He lives with his wife, Maleita, near Sedona, Arizona, and travels out presenting readings of his works, some song, and reflections on the grand mix of life. Peanut butter and jelly, the enshrinement. Letting the nap take you. Farewell to an old T-shirt. A handful of seeds. Sitting still…sometimes. God, by the cup. Dealing with depression. Soup line sonata. Hiding pens. Kneading erasers, more than ever. Frisbees in the Louvre. Renegade wigs. And, Dinosaurs and Grandpa’s. On the way to becoming a child again. Finding ourselves, literally, awash in the sea of everyday sacraments.
