Sam’s mom locked herself away in her room, while the kids cleaned their rooms. She knew that her behavior was bad and that she took all of her day’s frustrations out on them. She prayed and meditated on what she could do to help her mother and father, and on how she could somehow make amends with her kids. One hour later, she came out of her room and sat on the steps looking at Sam and Prudence as they were in the family room watching the television. She sat for a few moments until she could gather up enough courage to speak to them about today.

About the Book
This is the second book in a series that helps teach children self-love and self-empowerment through empathy. The topics deal with many challenges that we face in today’s modern world. This book deals with the topic of mental illness in a very gentle way. Through the main character, Sam, and his mother, Grace, children will learn to question the experience they are having and become empowered to have ownership of their own emotions. Children will also learn that moms and dads are people with their own struggles and life lessons.
About the Author
Besides majoring in education in college, Nicole is a mother of three and a lifetime devotee to supporting the advancement of emotional education in the world. With today's advancements in technology, Nicole sees a huge need to help children healthily cultivate emotions, which is missing in our current school structures today. Nicole likes to take children on a journey out of their own egos and then back into them with self evaluation, to facilitate a positive direction into becoming the best creators of their own lives.
