About the Book
Mr Wiggles takes children on a journey as he tries to learn why the wobbles (anxieties) in his tummy are visiting him. Mr Wiggles describes the effects of his wobbles at home and at school, how he allows a space for them and what he does about them. Based on tools and psychological theories used in therapy sessions with children, Mr Wiggles teaches kids to be mindful of their bodies and emotions and use helpful coping skills.
About the Author
I am a registered psychologist in Australia and have been counselling children for over 13 years in the area of family counselling, including: trauma, abuse, domestic violence, separation and divorce, blended family issues, grief and loss, behavioural and emotional issues. I have two young nephews and two stepchildren who have inspired me in my work and in many other ways. I am originally from South Africa, where I spent the first 22 years of my life. I love to travel and have visited the USA eight times, as well as many other countries, where I have learnt to be open to everything; to make the most of this time we have and to be kind to one another, as we never know what someone else may be going through. I love equipping children with tools and helpful values to navigate life’s challenges.
