Numbers in Dreams

It is undeniable that numbers play an important part in our everyday lives. We use and memorize an array of numbers - Social Security numbers, birth-dates, bank accounts, cell phone numbers, passwords, etc. Beyond the obvious uses, however, numbers also have important, deeper and sacred meaning. But we have lost connection to the spiritual qualities they possess. This was not the case for most of history. In ancient times, numbers were held in high esteem and were integrated into philosophy, art, religion, and architecture. Because they facilitated the growth and transformation of consciousness, numbers were considered sacred. Fortunately, some of us intuitively understand what the ancients knew: that numbers have a deeper meaning in our lives. We have not lost touch with this wisdom completely but we have put it away like an old book on a dusty library shelf. The level of sensitivity to numbers varies with each person. They reveal themselves in our affection or connection to a number that we cannot explain. It is not surprising that they are part of our dreams.
