About the Book
This book chronicles my journey through hopelessness, self abuse, and addiction. Most importantly, this book highlights the perfect love of God and my process of building a steadfast relationship with Jesus. I aim to share my process of positive change and the amazing benefits of altering my perception of myself and the human condition.
About the Author
Jade Black has an MA in criminology from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. Her thesis, titled “Exploring Women's Pathways to Recovery,” focused on uncovering various barriers experienced by women in recovery from drug addiction. Jade’s true accomplishments are found in her experiences and how she has utilized them to positively alter her perspective of hardship, drug addiction, recovery, and God's perfect love. Jade lives in Calgary, Alberta with her partner, Ryan, and her Yorkie, Miso. Quiet Mind, Open Heart is Jade’s first published book.
