If you have a heart that has been broken then this book of poetry is a ‘must read’. The poems are a very graphic and honest portrayal of one woman’s journey of loss, grief and her endeavours to understand ‘why!” Why the man she loves and adores unconditionally severed her from his life after vowing not to lose her from his life on numerous occasions, both verbally and in writing. She clearly articulates the ebbs and flows of her emotions through her unorthodox yet vividly candid poetry. This book is the sequel to her inaugural book – ‘Unconditional Forbidden Love’ (2012). In this book she writes in fluent and clear speech in which she clearly expresses her emotional roller coaster ride as she attempts to deal with losing the only man she has ever really loved. It is a very raw and painful book, in its true state. It describes her intense feelings of deep affection, adoration, devotion and passion for this extraordinary man who had a profound effect upon her.
This book is for the amazing man who picked her up from the depths of despair after a horrendous and emotionally abusive marriage. An incredible man who showed her something about the kind of woman she was capable of being. This book is dedicated to an extraordinary man whom she loves unconditionally. This book is for the man who used to call her ‘Gorgeous’. He is her God of Love and Lust; her Emperor of Desire, her Prince of Passion and her soul mate. He will forever reside in her heart.
If her experience and subsequent poetry helps just one person (male or female) then it will be worth all the ridicule, the questions and the condescending and judgmental comments she has been subjected to, to date.
Hereunder are a few examples of the poetry contained within this emotionally intense book of poetry.
Example 1:
There is a dark place;
Where people do go;
For I have lived there;
Since you let me go.
Some never leave there;
Others do make it out;
For those that do;
Takes a lot of clout.
Some are stuck for ages;
This is where I am;
I can’t see my way out;
This is not a sham.
It’s like being imprisoned;
Entombed in a sea of black
Wondering aimlessly;
Waiting for the whack.
Some choose to end it;
Then continue this way;
I can understand this;
Because I too just may.
It would be so easy;
This I can see;
But it would be different;
If you’d return to me.
Example 2:
I can’t see an end;
To the misery I feel;
The pain of losing you;
Is oh so very real.
I tried getting drunk;
But that didn’t work;
The very next day;
Was definitely no perk.
I burnt your photograph;
An exorcism of sort;
Then another one did I put;
In a frame that I bought.
I’ve tried to forget you;
But that didn’t work either;
I’ve even tried grieving;
But that didn’t work neither.
I tried getting angry;
But that was not help;
All that that achieved;
Made me realize what I felt.
I tried writing poetry;
About how I feel;
But that I found also;
Made it all the more real.
Example 3:
I lay in my bed;
Where you had once laid;
Laid after passionate love;
Together we had made.
I still feel your presence;
Although you’re not there;
While you did lay there;
You showed me you did care.
I can still see your body;
The candlelight did surround;
Look out my beauty;
My body and I; we’re inbound.
There is no greater pleasure;
Then lying next to you;
Embraced within your arms;
After making love; it’s true.
Then with my shoulder;
Tucked nicely under yours;
Our legs and bodies meshed;
Together to reassure.
You always stayed a while;
You never rushed away;
You always did the right thing;
And for a while you did stay.
