Bowing to The Master
I've been dancing around the frayed edges
Of the Truth
And now He has plunged me into the centre
They told me Life was a dialogue A heated, midnight whisper Between the Dancer and her music Between the Poet and his muse
The words jumble when we reach this place Of familiar strangeness Of acid paper and smeared ink
The light pours through my fingertips Opening your heart
Do you feel the shifting? Do you feel your new self? The servant bows to the Master
Sleep is not for Lovers
A sea of faces between us And still I can see your light Your tiredness from last night's Midnight whisperings Makes me smile Sleep is not for lovers Who wake in the darkness Calling each others'; names

About the Book
It is time to wake up. Your spirit has been stirring, and now you are on a journey. Perhaps you are starting a new relationship and feel that fire of falling in love. Dr. Saira Sabzaali holds a PhD in transpersonal psychology. Her areas of expertise are creative expression and spiritual guidance. She has been immersed in the study of various faith traditions, with an emphasis on mystical interpretations of the Sacred by people from around the world. Inspired by Rumi, Hafiz, and other great mystical poets, Saira’s poetic voice speaks to the hidden and sometimes turbulent aspects of the search for the sacred. Saira currently lives with her husband and son in Vancouver, Canada, where she works as a counsellor, motivational speaker, and spiritual director.
