Desperately, Cristal ran to seek help and decided to ask her friend Maki (Ma-kee), the owl, who was very wise.
“Maki, I need your help to solve a problem”- Cristal said.
“Tell me,” - replied Maki.
“The witch is planning to cut down the trees and destroy the forest in order to build her kingdom, and I don’t know how to fight against her evil powers”- said Cristal.
The wise owl could have given her the solution but instead she wanted to teach her something much more important and told her:
“Cristal, when you can’t find the answer to a problem, look for the answer within yourself.”
“How?” - replied Cristal, confused.
“Go to your favorite place, sit down calmly and you’ll see.”
“Try to connect with that little voice inside of you that guides us at every moment. Above all, HAVE FAITH THAT EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE IF YOU BELIEVE”-replied Maki.
Desesperadamente Cristal corrió a buscar ayuda y decidió pedir consejo a su amiga Maki, la lechuza, que era la más sabia.
“Maki, necesito tu ayuda para resolver un problema,” – dijo Cristal.
“Cuéntame,” - dijo Maki.
“La bruja está planeando cortar los arboles y destruir el bosque para construir su imperio y yo no sé cómo combatir sus poderes maléficos”.
La sabia lechuza le podía dar la solución pero quiso enseñarle algo mucho más importante que eso y le dijo:
“Cristal, cuando no encuentres una respuesta a un problema, búscala dentro de ti”-

En su busqueda por ayuda y respuestas, ella descubre el secreto mas poderoso del universo. Esta historia trata temas como; proteger el planeta, tener fe, esperanza, saber perdonar y del poder milagroso del amor incondicional. Para alcanzar una mayor audiencia este libro es escrito en Ingles y en Español.
About the Author
Sandra Birriel Barbieri was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. Since she was a little girl, she felt a strong connection with nature, which has been a source of inspiration in her paintings and illustrations. Sandra wrote her first book Cristal and the Secret of the Enchanted Forest, with the purpose to bring awareness to care and protect our planet, and leave a legacy of love and values for the generations to come. She currently lives in South Florida and she follows her passion to paint and illustrate children books.
Sandra Birriel Barbieri nació en Montevideo, Uruguay. Desde niña sintió una conexión muy fuerte con la naturaleza, que ha sido fuente de inspiración en sus pinturas e ilustraciones. Sandra escribió e ilustró Cristal y el Secreto del Bosque Encantado, con el propósito de promover el cuidado y el respeto por nuestro Planeta, dejando asi una herencia de valores y amor para las generaciones futuras. Actualmente vive en South Florida con su familia y continua pintando, escribiendo e ilustrando libros para niños.
