PEACE
Soul searching, us searching for it or it searching for us.
Does it really matter as long as the connection occurs and grows?
Sink deep into it, share wholly of it, belong to each other.
That is the salvation mankind needs to seek.
Be at peace with oneself.
That peace will seep into the cracks and crevices of other people's armor.
Someday we will shed that armor for something more glorifying of the soul-spirit.
Many are trying to catch the elusive scent and feel of peace,
feeling it just awakening in them, around them.
It can be hard to recognize something you have never truly encountered,
something of a shape, form, and substance unknown to you.
Believing that it is real may be the hardest part of all.
Represented in so many disguises, which one is real,
which one do you reach out to grasp to your soul?
It is only self-definable, self-reliable and self-propagated.
The attraction of it growing within you,
It is what draws others to believe
they too might come to know it.
Lead them not, for their path to peace is not the one you are walking.
Peace is as individual as the soul, indefinable to any other soul.
Yet when we each find that path the walls will come down,
the skies will lift up,
we will finally see that we are truly one entity.
Like a quaking grove of aspens interconnected in our creation,
stretching to join arms as the beautiful creatures we are
upon the earth.
Believe that the paths of peace are being uncovered, brushed off,
relieved of the overgrowth of weeds and thorns,
finally appearing in the sunlight of angels' eyes looking upon us.
Peace, peace, peace, even a beautiful word to say,
the final sound escaping, traveling into the distance,
traveling towards the soul.
Look for your peace,
clothe yourself with it,
let it light your way.
That light will shine bright enough for all someday.
GOD GAVE US NATURE
God gave us nature to help us understand
how credible the incredibly awesome can be:
an orchid, a spider web, the true display of oneness—water.
Flowing, shaping, nourishing everything we need, be or have.
