A few minutes later it started to rain lightly. Mountain Mouse and her nephews paused underneath a big brown mushroom. And Mountain Mouse shared that in Spanish the color brown was el marron. There they met Mr. Snail who was also brown. He shared the Cherokee Indians originally lived in this area. The Cherokee called the dome “Kuwahi” meaning “mulberry place.” The mountain was a sacred part of their history and folklore.

About the Book
While visiting their great Aunt Mountain Mouse, Liam and Hunter enjoyed a hike to Clingman's Dome. Mountain Mouse's friend Yona was right when he thought the boys would enjoy a day exploring the outdoors. Mountain Mouse also used the time to review basic colors in both English and Spanish while enjoying nature and meeting friends on their hike.
