It is an offering to those who have felt silenced by life and reminder that even in the deepest fractures, wholeness can be reclaimed. The Union begins from within. The silence of the ancestors is never empty. It holds the whispers of who we were, the truth of who we are and the vision of who we are becoming. When I learned to listen, I discovered that silence itself was a prayer on its own and that in prayer I found myself. This is not a book to read but a journey to live. This book has allowed me to walk alongside my own fractured experiences, to listen deeply to the voice within, and to explore the sacred dance of union in all its complexity. In “The Fracture and Calling”, I confront the moments when life and relationships fractured my sense of Self. It was in these cracks that the call to awaken became undeniable. I recognised that pain and disconnection are often the catalysts for awakening the inner voice, urging us to seek alignment with truth, purpose, and ancestral guidance. These fractures, while deeply challenging, became the fertile ground for spiritual reclamation and transformation. “Hear Your Voice” is a section that invites the reader to honour the inner guidance that has always been present yet often ignored. It is a call to listen deeply to both feminine and masculine voices, trust intuition, and reclaim authority over one’s choices and life path. Sekgopi-Salejwe Nolutho Nyhonyha (Baba Nkosiyamanzi-Makhisandile) is a healer, educator, author, and spiritual guide with more than two decades of experience in wellness, African traditional healing, Ayurvedic Practitioner, and holistic education. She is the founder of Pelonngwe Wellness Retreat & Spa and the Afrovedic Healing Institute, where she integrates ancient African wisdom, Vedic principles, and modern wellness practices to support physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. As an I-ACT certified advanced colon hydrotherapist, herbalist, African traditional healer instructor, Gobela, and Chopra centre certified Vedic master, Indian Ayurvedic Council certified practitioner, Reiki Master, Sekgopi-Salejwe brings a rare depth of expertise in body, mind, and soul alignment. Her work spans teaching, therapy, spiritual coaching, and guiding individuals and communities towards self-reconnection and conscious living. A scholar and reflective practitioner holding a MEd degree (community capacity development) from University of Pretoria, she has spent decades exploring the interplay between African spirituality, ancestral wisdom, and personal transformation, particularly in the context of relationships, family, and community. She is also a poet, whose poetry engages with themes of social justice, ancestral memory, and the reclamation of African identity and spirituality.
