Teach to the Brain and the Heart Will Follow

"We must make sure to state that a school, a classroom, a household, even a one-on-one private tutoring arrangement can only hope to approximate a perfectly brain responsive relationship. While the pursuit of The Brain Responsive Approach™ is highly recommended, we must recognize that such an approach will undoubtedly evolve and change as science and technology continue to provide new information regarding the brain and how it learns. In terms of assessing the impact of the approach one must consider the innumerable number of variables that contribute to any learning environment. The impact would have to be assessed by means of comparison of many factors: Was the approach applied correctly? Was the learning environment already somewhat brain responsive by virtue of a previously established empowerment approach? Was the previous environment full of enriching experiences or was it void of stimulation? What conditions do the learners live with in environments outside of your influence? It is impossible to be 100% brain responsive, but it is necessary to strive for that ideal nonetheless".
