About the Author
A New York native, Celinda Burns earned a bachelor’s degree in public administration and human service from Hofstra University. As a career civil servant, she worked as a probation officer and child protective service specialist in New York City for thirty years. Burns continued her education at New York Theological Seminary for two years, receiving a certificate in Christian ministry. She has worked for various churches as a prison minister and chaplain.
