Calabresella kissed her Papa and hugged him tight and they spent a long time just talking and reading stories until her Papa needed to rest. He told Calabresella not to cry when it was time to leave, that he loved her very much, and that he wanted her to be a good girl and that he would be home very soon.

About the Book
This author has mentored young children through teaching remedial reading to third and fourth graders and found that one question children kept asking was, What happens when someone dies? She created the storyline in this book to address this question in terms that young children can understand. Harkening back to her own grandfather’s passing away, she relates how she coped with that loss through a fictional story (although the little dog later on was a real dog). This book is the first in a series of adventures and challenges that this little girl faces after the loss of her grandfather.
About the Author
The author is a retired office administrator. She is the mother of three boys and six grandchildren. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and residing in New Hampshire.
