I Am a Baby Boomer Made in the U.S.A.

One weekend we decided to organize a newspaper drive for a band fund-raiser. We had some people picking up papers and meeting at the high school while some people would dump the newspapers at our school for us. One of the guys had a pick-up truck that we filled to the tippy top of the flatbed to drive to the recycle place. To keep the papers from blowing away as we drove them to the recycle place, a few of us had to lay on top of the newspapers. I still remember lying face up going down 13 Mile Road and looking up at the I 75 bridge as we drove under it. It was crazy! As soon as my parents read this, especially my dad, he is going to tell me "you're grounded!" I hated being grounded when I was younger, it seemed like it was an overused punishment, frequently. I swear the oldest gets the blame for everything! Oh well, once again I survived. It is really funny these days, to hear my dad say, "you're grounded!"
