Neglect is one of the worst traumas that can leave massive implications in its wake and left unattended it becomes abuse. We have neglected our emotional intelligence and in the process missed our spiritual wisdom as it tries to reach us through our pain. Our emotional landscape is trying to teach us so we may attain not only enlightenment, but so we can live happy healthy lives.
Yet so many of us find it incredibly challenging to function in the world ...
We have been living in a survivalist world where we are taught to silence any feelings of pain and overwhelming sadness, to check out and dissociate and distract. These tools of containment and concealing that have kept the collective safe under the spotlight of creating an authentic world are now starting to crumble. This new paradigm of authenticity calls out anything that is not in alignment with these higher principles.
We need to start loving ourselves—because we have stopped loving ourselves— and when we don’t care for ourselves it spills over into all our relationships. The environment is one of many things around us that reflect back the state of our own inner terrain of neglect. The Earth is suffering because of our collective contribution of invalidating what is important. This polarized way we are living is endangering us all with the massive imbalances we have created. The environmental impact of our diets, to our daily needs, and discordant attitudes are having devastating effects for all life around us.
We are witnessing Earth changes and the effects our lack of respect and imbalance have had on the health of this beautiful planet that we get to call home. Our salvation is going to come from our willingness to look at our defects and the ways we have deviated off the path of sanctity.
Part of the corrections that we are making in all our relationships is also the choices from our own self-absorption and acknowledging the deeper implications and impact these choices are having on all life around us. She is the reflection of our own planetary body and also our under-matured mothering principle and our disconnection from empathetic and compassionate qualities. We are out of step with natural laws. The environment is sick because we are sick. The pollution is our own inner pollution. We as a society have concreted over our hearts in the same way we have cemented over the planet. Hardening over of all that is soft, and gentle and authentic, and in the process, settling for artificial connection. We continue to imprint our own dismissiveness out to the greater world around us and are operating from a distorted sense of entitlement. The parallels are now smacking us awake to the fact that we are leaving an energetic footprint just like we are leaving a carbon footprint. We need to clean up as we go so that the echos that continue to ripple out from our wake are not those of disharmony.
We have not been living and coexisting harmoniously with nature in a very long time. We are in trouble and we must stop tiptoeing around the issues that are needed to alter the destructive course that we are on—and fast. Our fundamental choices are detrimental and our decisions are impacting her and other species at a rate that cannot continue. She needs our commitment and readjustment of attitude to change course, and so do we for humanity to survive. Archbishop Desmond Tutu said “Never before in human history have we been called to act collectively in defense of the Earth.”
So for the Earth’s health and for her to be able to continue to sustain us we must do the weeding out of our own destructive energy patterns, negative thoughts and become more responsible for our choices. We are out of step with our integrity and have lost sight of our north star, we have become quite a thankless society and gratitude has left our thinking. Appreciation and gratitude are attributes we have distanced ourselves from. There is a great need for us to step forward and establish principals that will guide us to a harmonious life and a peaceful world away from only self interest. It is our shared responsibility to care for the Earth and our social responsibility to help preserve this world. We should be protecting the balance of life and until we get back in touch with our moral compass to bring in a new set of values that are holistic, we all suffer. We know in our hearts that the unseen Divine Intelligence is in all things and we are extensions of this great love. Everything is God incarnate. Yet we have morally disengaged and we are suffering because of our own detachment to ourselves and Divine Power.
For social change we are in need of looking inward instead of outward and realize what is destructive to one, is destructive to all. For there is no place where you start and I stop we are all interconnected by streams of light. Evolution of species and other living organisms are in our hands. We don’t want to be responsible for the extinction of many more species and be the creators of our own annihilation or extinction.
With such a shortage of love and kindness in this world it is time to apply what we know in our hearts. It is time to commit and dedicate ourselves to a healthy future.
Nikola Tesla said:
“A new world must be born, a world that would justify the sacrifices offered by humanity. This new world must be a world in which there shall be no exploitation of the weak by the strong, of the good by the evil, where there will be no humiliation of the poor by the violence of the rich; where the products of intellect, science and art will serve society for the betterment and beautification of life, and not the individuals for achieving wealth.
This new world shall not be a world of the downtrodden and humiliated, but of free men and nations, equal in dignity and respect.”
