CHAPTER ONE- MY DEATH EXPERIENCEIn nineteen seventy-six my husband and I moved to Houston, Texas,after graduating from the American Graduate School of International Management ( AGSIM ), now known as, the Thunderbird Global School of Management, in Glendale, Arizona. I worked as a Dental Assistant and he recently started as a marketing agent in a large oil company. I had a very bad cough and cold for about two weeks, that would not get better no matter what I did. One night while driving home from work, as I turned on to the freeway, I felt a sudden heaviness to my left arm. I also felt my chest tighten a lot. I felt as if I may be having a slight heart attack. I telephoned my husband to let him know that I was on my way home and that I was feeling worse than I had been feeling. I wanted him to keep a look out for me in case something happened. This did not seem to effect him at all. He never did believe in illness ,so he did not know how to handle it. Since our marriage of three years, I had a lot of migraines, colds and viruses. In fact, two months before we were to be married, I had to have an emergency surgery to remove an ovarian cyst and a dislodged inter uterine device. He only got ill with the Hong Kong flu, once in our ten years of marriage. Once I arrived at our apartment, I cooked dinner, cleaned up the kitchen and cleaned the bathroom. Then, I begged him to help me carry the four loads of laundry down and up the two flights of stairs to wash it. Luckily, he agreed and even helped me fold it and put it away. I was uncontrollably coughing a lot during all of these chores,while the laundry was processing, I sat upon the living room couch with my husband and smoked a cigarette, as we watched the local, evening news. The news reporter was telling the story of the kidnapping of a young debutante, whom later joined in her captor's cause for freedom. He was describing her symptoms, as she had also, suffered a collapsed lung from malnutrition. I turned to my husband and told him that this was how I was feeling at that moment. He called me a hypochondriac and told me that I was fine. It got so hard for me to breathe that I put down my cigarette without smoking it. All I could do was cough. I turned again to my husband and asked him to call me an ambulance. He said you are exaggerating and did not budge from the couch. I got up and telephoned the closest, local hospital. I asked to speak to the doctor on call in the emergency room. The doctor came to the phone and I told him what I was experiencing. He asked me if I was alone. I told him that my husband was with me and the doctor asked to speak to him. Suddenly, my husband's eyes got very wide and he slammed down the telephone receiver, then, said, "Let's go!" I asked him what the doctor had said to him. He replied, "I can tell how hard it is for your wife to breathe and if she dies before you get her to the hospital or in the process of treatment, you will be held accountable." I was very relieved, as this same doctor treated me at the hospital. He ordered a chest x-ray, which confirmed walking pneumonia and a collapsed lung on the left side. The doctor told me that he would need to move me to the operating room, to prepare me for a chest tube insertion to help me breathe. After I was prepared for the procedure, the doctor came back in to the room. He told me that I would need to concentrate very hard, to lie very still upon my right side and try not to cough, as he only wanted to make one incision. He told me that he would numb my outer skin with an injection. However, I would feel a lot of pain once the tube was being inserted through the rib cage. He began the procedure, I coughed a little and he had to make a second incision. I held my breath, as the pain became most unbearable and I blacked out.Suddenly, I was spinning very quickly inside my body, as if I was a miniature time traveler, from my head to my toes. Once I passed my heart area, I encountered a very frightening tall, man, dressed as a mummy, with his hands outstretched, as if he were trying to grab a hold of me. I then, saw a very tiny bright, white light that I veered towards, at the end of my feet. All of a sudden, I was floating at the top of the ceiling in the intensive care unit of the hospital. I was looking down at my physical body on the bed, as a Catholic priest was blessing my body and soul and the doctor was calling out the time of my death. My husband was crying at my bedside. I looked at myself and I saw the same person as I had always been, only now I resembled a vaporized version of the old me. I could see and hear everything that was occurring in the room. The doctor and two nurses were saying how sad it was that I had passed away so young. I was twenty-one years old. I had no remorse at seeing my physical body. It did not bother me that I was in spirit form. In fact, I was extremely happy with no attached emotions. I turned around to find myself face to face with two angels. One was a little girl of about eight years of age. She had long, blonde hair, pretty, blue eyes and a big smile. She wore a long, white robe with very large angel wings upon her back and brown sandals. The other angel was a little, baby boy, that was dressed in a white, cloth diaper. He had strawberry, blonde hair, blue eyes and a very contagious, yet playful smile. He was fluttering about as he held on to the other angel's robe. Next, I encountered the spirits of three, deceased relatives, two aunts and my fraternal grandmother. We were very happy to see one another again. They had all passed away in their sixties yet, they appeared to be of about thirty years of age. We were all standing on clouds. All of a sudden, I was facing "Jesus." He looked as I had seen him growing up in the Catholic catechism class. He had on a long, white robe, and brown sandals. He had very long, wavy, brown hair and a golden circle of light surrounded his form. Jesus was talking to me telepathically and he told me I had to go back to my physical body, as it was not my time to be there. This angered me, as I was extremely happy to be where I was at present,as I felt much love there. Next, Jesus held up his right hand and pushed me down to my body. I awakened in my physical body with a white sheet covering my face. I had been dead for three minutes. I blew on the sheet and the priest pulled it down from my face. He said, " My child, it is a miracle. You have had a heavenly experience. Would you tell me what happened? " I replied that I would tell him, but I was very angry at present, as I was happy in Heaven. I did not want to come back. He said, " It is not your time yet, my child ". I told him my story then noticed my husband was beside my bed. He was very glad I had returned to my physical body. My husband heard me tell the priest the story about my trip to Heaven, but he did not believe in our creator. He believed that an alien super power created us, so he thought I was hallucinating. My death experience occurred on the Thursday before Good Friday, over the Easter weekend.

First time writer, Amy Jamison, recounts the story of her death experience in nineteen seventy-six from a collapsed lung, resulting from walking pneumonia. This amazing novel, a true story, describes Amy’s out of body trip to Heaven, where she encounters a dark entity, two angels, three spirits of deceased relatives and “Jesus”. This story includes her gift of visions of future events, involving immediate, family members. These visions begin in nineteen eighty-one and at first, Amy is not sure what she is supposed to do with the knowledge, as they frighten her. There are visions of her children, insect infestations, death, good and bad spirits, a fire, a disappearance, a stabbing, visits from passing relatives’ spirits, as well as a message from God, through a visiting minister. It also, includes an unspeakable vision of her daughter and her daughter’s boyfriend. The elders in heaven test Amy and if she passes it, she will learn the identity of her birth father. This story also, includes a surprise ending, with a vision for Amy.
About the Author
Amy Jamison grew up in the Catholic religion, on a small island in Texas, along with her other four siblings, three brothers and a sister. She was the only child raised, but not borne on the island, during an era of drugs, alcohol and abuse. Amy was not able to acknowledge mediums and the abilities to foresee future events, until after her death experience in nineteen seventy-six and a special message from God in nineteen ninety-two. Amy began to explore many other religions, as her Catholic religion was no longer satisfying her questions nor fulfilling her inner peace. Next she attended the Episcopal church, experienced a few personal tragedies and later became spiritual.
After graduating high school, Amy traveled with her best friend to a large city in Nevada, where she met and married her children's father. Two years later, she and her husband moved to Arizona, where they attended and graduated from an advanced studies school. She majored in Natural Resources and French. Later she learned to read, write and speak Arabic, as she and her spouse were preparing to move overseas to a Muslim country, to work for a major oil company in nineteen seventy-seven. Her spouse was in Marketing and she was a Dental Assistant. Amy worked for this company for six years before returning to Texas with her two children in nineteen eighty-one. Shortly after this time, Amy began to experience "visions" of future events of her immediate family members. She revealed these events to her family, even though they all called her "crazy". In nineteen ninety-eight, Amy moved to a small, college town in northern California, where she was joined by her youngest daughter, whom required some specialized, medical treatment and surgery. In the year two thousand, Amy retired from the Dental field after twenty-six years, became a Care Provider for the elderly, a Medical Assistant and a Nanny/Housekeeper. In two thousand and six, Amy moved to a college town in Arizona, to be near her son. Amy is currently single and living in Phoenix, Arizona. Amy's passion has always been writing and she has always dreamed of publishing a book. Her goal is to tell others of Heaven, our creator, angels and our loved ones' spirits there. Amy believes she was sent back to fulfill her life's purpose, which God bestowed upon her. At first, Amy was confused and frightened of the visions. She did not understand what she was suppose to do with the knowledge. These visions keep repeating until they are revealed to the individuals involved. Sometimes these visions occurr only once, prior to their occurrence. Recently, Amy had her first vision of herself, which is still in progress. Amy has been through many personal tragedies,but her spiritual beliefs and faith in God have carried her through them all and made her a stronger person. Amy believes we all have intuitive powers to connect with the spirit world. Life happens, free will reigns and we are not at peace with ourselves and others, in order for this connection to occur. We have to be free of all negative thoughts and actions. This is no easy task and it takes a great change of personality and thoughts. She believes everything is possible through God. Amy has recently setup an ad in her area, to connect with other individuals, which have had death or near death experiences or have experienced beings of light. Amy's goal is to organize a support group for these individuals to share their stories with her and help them and her heal in the process. Amy believes the more she and others similar to her, share their stories, the more likely the world will be able to accept the reality of visions, physics, mediums and the spiritual world.
