Each of us has the ability to make the world a better place just by how we interact with each other. Here, author Carmen Luisa shares a few of the simple and wise teachings she has learned from three of the world’s religions. After reading these two short stories, you may better understand what Mother Teresa meant when she wrote, “If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.”
About the Author
CARMEN LUISA has made it her personal, joyful mission to share some of the wisdom she has gained through out her life. Carmen admits that at times she has been stubborn and has taken the long, hard road, but she never completely gave up on her dreams. The second story in this book is about exactly this. These are Carmen Luisa’s thoughts, from her heart to yours:
At one time or another in our lives, we all have dreams. Sometimes we feel like our dreams will not come true, or we may be afraid to dream for the fear of being let down. For Carmen, there was a time at which she had given up on her dreams, but her dreams had not given up on her.
When we are in this place in our minds, we need to read this simple sentence: “To accomplish great things we must not only act, but also dream—not only plan, but also believe.” (Anatole France)
