Heal Your Heart From Within

In the year 2000 I had the privilege of participating in a medical mission to Romania. My training as a Nurse Practitioner was the medical model of “treating the symptoms of illness and disease”-not getting to the root cause of ailments. I regarded myself as a “healer” as many in the health care profession do. . I understood that each person had this power within, which I referred to as the God within or the Universe within but had limited experience in how this guided daily life. My time in Romania opened a new world of how I would live from my heart, and how I would teach others to do the same and, in the process, open the door to self-healing. Every morning before clinic started, I would hear the children in the courtyard begin their day with song- a mantra that set the tone of the day. The lyrics are simple: Every cell in my body is happy Every cell in my body is happy Every cell in my body is happy Because I am at peace with myself After I had observed this practice for several days, I asked if I could join the children and participate in their daily ritual. I was granted permission and for the next several months I too shared in the daily mantra . As the children taught me, so I taught them. I learned from the children, how as an adult, I lost my ability to see others as an image of myself. To laugh, to play, and yet not lose that connection to spirit-that connection to my heart. Like the children, connecting to my heart-my spirit- ignited my intuition that was so easily and effortlessly accessed during my childhood. Engaging in this daily ritual confirmed that the answers are within and could be accessed through the heart. When the children placed their hands over their heart, they learned that their heart sent energy in the form of vibrations to those around them. They learned how their individual feelings affect others and how their shared song-mantra- was felt by others around them. We talked about the heart and how they lived from their heart by being compassionate, forgiving, resilient, and grateful. . The children already knew instinctively that they create their life and are empowered to create their life. At the cellular level, the physical body is a network of negative and positive electrical charges, interconnecting pathways, and a specific frequency of vibration. all working in harmony ( homeostasis/balance). These subtle energies work independently and together to keep the heart beating, the lungs breathing, food digesting, physical movement, etc. Since the heart has the largest energy field, it radiates further out and vibrates at a higher frequency. Everything from the physical body to plants, the solar system is energetically charged and have a specific vibrational frequency. The higher the vibration, the more it connects you to your hear
