Herb received spiritual discernment from others, learning through his experience. It was not a comfortable life for Herb at times, with an appreciation of the blessings gained, and the life suffered through hard knocks finding out nothing is for free in this world.

Herb finds himself paying attention to the little things, and they are the miracles. Most walk around with blinders on, oblivious to the wonders. They are all wrapped up in their self-indulgence and pride of self that is small, called, “sins of the flesh. “ Herb is not perfect, and he knows he will fall short if he is not willing to grow along spiritual lines and to, help others alter their hearts of wrongdoings. Herb expresses that he can operate with a higher power and is too beautiful to connect to an end.

Losing an arm to a logging accident (February 1981) and praying, at the crossroads in life, the answer to a prayer, unable to ride Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Nine years later (1990) losing the use of legs to multiple sclerosis, also soul’s journey, God not finished with the love he has through the Holy Spirit. Herb finding myself behind the eight ball with God, more spiritual work to be completed.

And offer a healing touch or hug to someone in need of an offer of love. Has kept Herb from reacting to the guilt sins of the flesh of sensual, sexual desires.
As a result, God loves Herb, unconditionally. Able to drive shower and care of personal hygiene. Exercise daily with a consistent routine is the answer to multiple sclerosis, finding himself healing slowly.

Lacey, beautiful young lady, tall, long black hair green eyes New York accent, having the opportunity becoming friends. She is 35 years my junior although shared interests.
Lacey mentioned a fascinating story to me at one time; she likes to keep in shape and jog and run and live in, Elvira, New York. She decided to take a run one day, and she mentioned that there was a force field that held her back like telling her not to go on this run. It was a rural trail going through the woods not many people use it; she remembered some guy had jogged past her with a dog the dog barked twice like the dog was saying, “don’t go."

About 20 feet from each other, and then for no reason at all is guy grabbed her twister thumbs behind her back, ripped at her shirt, and he intended to molest her. All at once this monkey let her go and went down on all fours and slithered like a snake, back away looking back at her for about 30 feet like an animal,

Herb graduated from high school, has a class A driver’s license, and is an operating engineer. Herb owns his own business, and he is also an arborist and a high-climber. He is a sergeant (USMC) and has a junior college AA business degree. He holds classes on how to win friends and influence people.
Herb’s third wife had left him. She could not see any light at the end of the tunnel for him ever quitting drugs or alcohol. Praying to God, the phone rang at that moment; a call from a friend of Herb’s dad who at forty-three years sobriety never called Herb. Instantly, the mental obsession and the physical compulsion were lifted from Herb.
Herb attended three alcoholics’ anonymous meetings daily and also checked into Kaiser Chemical Dependency and Veterans Administration Chemical Dependency. He is now fifteen years clean and sober. Why do bad things happen to good people? God loves us that much. Through spiritual discernment, this book may help others, also Herb’s first book, Soul Journey. About the Author
Herb born Yakima Washington raised in La Honda California. Eldest of five, Raised without adult supervision learn to work hard. Cutting firewood, garbageman, heavy construction, any job physical. Married at 16, four children by the time he was 22.
Notoriously riding Harley-Davidson, experimented in drug running, Given a choice prison or USMC by the FBI. Married three times and help raise four stepchildren.
Logging his father’s property hit in the back with a widow maker. The answer to Herb’s prayer, severed five nerves at the spine without the use of his left arm, could not ride Harley-Davidson’s.
Herb lost his arm to save his soul. With one arm Herb was still working hard, doing drugs and drinking alcohol.
Nine years later Herb develops multiple sclerosis another answer to Herb’s prayer. Losing his feeling in his right hand, bound to a wheelchair.
