As I look up at the clouds from the trampoline it is almost as if I can see a pair of angel wings and my imagination starts to move towards what Grandma said about the Bible verse in her old book. As I am lying there I am also reminded of what one of my favorite authors, C.S. Lewis said about the only way to connect with the Divine is through our imagination and I love that. As I begin imagining it is almost as if I can picture these angels being on an assignment of some sort. Almost like some kind of work assignment that helps us here on earth. Grandma says angels are very powerful and her Bible book says there are times when they even fight for us. I am not sure how all of this works but I really want to be open and use my imagination to see what is often ignored or dismissed by so many people that I know.

About the Book
This is a story for young adults who often wonder, "Who is God, Is God good, and Does God speak to me and if so, how does God do that?" Growing Up Elena is such a book that takes a young teen growing up today having a desire to know the goodness of a mighty God in the midst of our pain, heartache, and confusion. Elena's Grandma Eva plays an important role in her life, reminding her of the importance of the stories being written by this one we call God. As Elena continues in her heart of exploration and a mind that is curious, she discovers how very close God is.
About the Author
Susan is a spiritual director in the Indianapolis area and works with many faith traditions. She is also a "dream coach" who has worked with dreams and the synchronicities that follow those dreams for over twenty years. Susan is close with her four children and her granddaughter, who after many years scattered all over the world are back home and in close proximity to each other.
