Madness in My Head Collecting your thoughts is never an easy task to accomplish When your mind wonders as much as mine does. Fixing this and that, that and this Getting nothing Done at all because nothing needed fixing at all. You can’t fix the Madness in your mind cause the madness Serves a purpose guiding you somehow really from one place to another. Wondering will the madness ever stop in my head or will time stand still. As reality implodes, do you think that Madness stops, there? Do you think Madness is what keeps you alive and without it would be pure Madness How would you let go of the madness that is without losing yourself along the way? Can you control the madness or is control never gained or is there a need for control? It serves as a guide to cover up realities that are difficult to deal with in & out Or to deal with it at all, embracing Madness is my only hope. Embrace Madness to the point of my mind Can rest in peace without a care of What reality may bring. Reality is after all just a state of mind, isn’t it? Yours will always be different than mine! Thought of You I thought of you today With wind in face And sun shining. I thought of you today With a full yet Heavy Heart. I thought of you today As my heart felt All the pain. I thought of you today Wondering if you Feel my pain, too. I thought of you today As the pain Turns to sorrow. I thought of you today As the sorrow Fades away. I thought of you today With a smile on my face And a song in my heart. I thought of you today With such great happiness Deep inside my soul. I thought of you today Knowing peace is yours now And you’re always here. I thought of you today Letting you fly for your free I’ll think of you tomorrow And the day after that as well. As time changes my heart will too Free from darkness the Light will shine again. As I think of you Let love live And never die. Be free for now See me again As I lay dying Think of Me. As I thought of you My heart healed As you took flight. I thought of you For you gave me My wings too. Now is the time to say goodbye Till I see you again Know I think of You!

About the Book
It’s My Soul is a book of poems that came to life from my soul searching for healing after the loss of my soulmate & husband. I remember it as one of the longest winters in Harrison as the snow kept coming, so did the tears. It was first time I wrote in years; my heart was broken & full of sorrow there was no place to hide. As I wrote from my heart, believing people can truly relate to the experiences of the writer through the power of their words. I am still healing in a lot of ways, but the winter of 2022 gave me a place to start. To love yourself is the real treasure in this book. Since the tears I cried through winter were for me not for him. I feel it shows the reader two things that healing is the beginning of letting go & self-discovery of what you gained in the process.
About the Author
Adella J Rising lives in a small rural town in the Northwest corner of Nebraska. She always enjoyed small town living where people still support and reach out to one another. She loves waking up to the sounds of the birds singing in trees, her evenings are filled with rabbits, squirrels, & deer as they stop by her yard for a visit. She’s been a writer her whole life. She enjoys many things, spending time with her cats & dogs is at the top of the list. She enjoys cooking for family & friends, as well as taking photos of all the activities. She enjoys being outdoors & always has her camera to capture the beauty of nature & her journal for writing her thoughts as she walks along. She enjoys singing & dancing, playing cards with friends, gardening or just sitting on the front porch. She is never hard to find.
