Sawyer was not an ordinary balloon, he was a bright red mylar ballooon with a curious heart and a longing to see and experience his world. During Josie's birthday party, laughter filled the air as children ran and played. Then, with a sudden gust of wind, Sawyer slipped from Josie's hand and rose into the skies above. Sawyer drifted farther from the party, he gazed down at all the houses, he floated by the tall trees and saw the wide open view of the ocean below. Excitement stirred at the wonders before him, but his thoughts stayed with Josie, as he missed her deeply. Sawyer focused on finding his way back to her. As new adventures unfolded in the breezes, he looked down at the beautiful blue ocean and marveled at the many creatures swimming below. The beautiful marine life showed him the magic and mystery of the world before him. Through it all Sawyer held fast to his promise, he would show great patience and focus. Every moment would become part of his journey home, back to his friend Josie.
