About the Book

Based on the 59 slogans of Buddhist mind training known as lojong, If You Can’t Let It Go, Work It Through is a guide to the daily practice of lovingkindness. Combining the slogans, revised as contemplations, with journaling prompts, meditations, and inner work, readers of this book will move beyond the common platitude to “let it go” and truly begin to work through their emotional obstacles.

About the Author

Mark Pelter left life as a Buddhist monk after 12 years, realizing he was unable to completely let go of his attachment to his own reactive cycles of anger and fear. Continuing to work his pattern through in both Eastern and Western spiritual and psychological traditions, he began offering guided meditation, courses, and counseling, and published his first book, Choosing What’s Chosen You, in 2003. He holds a BA in Psychology, a MA in Consciousness Studies, a Master of Divinity degree, and has been a board-certified chaplain for 26 years.
