Frog's Glorious Day

Frog felt quite a bit better. Being in the water had helped and he hardly thought of Wasp at all. As he enjoyed his lily pad, he noticed a beautiful dragonfly flitting about the plants and flowers near the pond. He had not noticed the flowers earlier and now saw how lovely they were. He enjoyed watching the antics of Dragonfly zooming in and out and about. Frog yelled, “Hello, Dragonfly!” Dragonfly smiled and waved. He could have sworn he saw a playful wink in one of those big, dazzling eyes! As Frog watched Dragonfly, he realized that he was feeling pretty good. His spirits were lifted, and he was feeling more and more like his normal, happy, self. Frog was feeling very content about living in his pond. He looked up and saw the sun filtering through the trees – so beautiful! Then, a sunray fell right on his lily pad! It was so warm and comforting. How could he have been so sad and grumpy earlier? Those feelings now felt far away, and he didn’t care to think about them. He was happy to just sit and enjoy the sun on his favorite lily pad.
