About the Author

Fabiana Pimenta is from Brazil, spent her childhood in a coffee farm, and moved to USA in 2007. She is a public health Microbiologist, Ph.D., working in a laboratory. She is a passionate learner keeping a beginner’s mind. She has different and unique tastes, going from riding a motorcycle, gardening, teaching Yoga, and writing. She trusts that family and friends make us who we are, and we are all connected by an infinite cord. She wrote stories that include happiness, humor, suffering, resilience, and other moments related to being a human. She says that her life is a daily victory based on hard work and supported by her family and friends’ fabric. She learned that there are endless possibilities, and they are available to all of us, including a barefoot child.

Fabiana Pimenta nasceu no Brasil, passou a infância em uma fazenda de café e se mudou para os EUA em 2007. Ela é microbiologista com foco em saúde pública, Ph.D., e trabalha em um laboratório. Ela é uma eterna aprendiz e tem uma mente de iniciante. Ela tem gostos diferentes e únicos, indo de andar de motocicleta, jardinagem, ensino de Yoga e escrita. Ela acredita que a família e os amigos fazem de nós o que somos, e estamos conectados por um cordão infinito. Ela escreveu histórias que incluem felicidade, humor, sofrimento, resiliência e outros momentos que, afinal, relacionam-se ao ser humano. Ela diz que sua vida é uma vitória diária baseada no trabalho dedicado, e apoiada pelo estofo da família e amigos. Ela aprendeu que existem infinitas possibilidades, e elas estão disponíveis para todos nós, incluindo uma criança descalça.
