My first revelation of Christi Conde being an Empath was during a summer afternoon, about 12 years ago, while our daughters, 10 years old at the time, were hanging out in the swimming pool of her very nice house complex. At one moment, during a non-related chat, she suddenly changed her demeanor from casual to shockingly surprised. Eyes wide open she announced: “Oh my God, your father is here!” My heart jumped and tears began to flow, while she delivered the messages that he, my father, who had passed two years before that, was sending to his family. He was doing great… (and there was more), but that is what we needed to know. In her book, “Messages of light,” Christi shares in a very candid and honest way her life and struggles as an empath, from her childhood trying to understand the “unknown” happening to her constantly, to her adulthood, when she learned to canalized and share her gift to help others cope with the loss of a loved one or struggling with life. The author goes farther and invites the reader to reflect and redefine on what we perceive as “coincidences” happening around us, and to recognize in them messages that our guides -a superior being- are sending in response to a moment, an event or even a personal question. In a very inspirational narrative, sometimes full of humor, she combines her story with the “messages of light” she identifies as coming from a Higher being, and now shared with us through the lines in her book. The narrative is easy to follow, even conversational; she questions the reader time to time and is delivered in a positive tone. A book that leaves you with a warm hart; and the feeling of: “When you most need, you are not alone.”
