Chapter Five - Reconciling Faith and Reiki Vicky - Shortly after the “Cheryl experience”, Danielle and I were invited to the bedside of a woman who was dying. Together we went into her hospital room to offer her spiritual care. As I prayed over the woman, Danielle offered her Reiki. This was hands down one of the most powerful experiences we had as we shared collective energy. We both offered divine love in our own way and it seemed to exponentially expand the love that was given. When the session was over, the three of us spoke about what we had experienced and we were surprised to learn that we each had a similar experience. The woman encountered Jesus during her session and felt an overwhelming sense of peace at the conclusion of our time together. She released her fear of death and embraced the time she had left. The combination of prayer and Reiki was incredibly powerful. Danielle and I knew we were on to something. Jesus was the ultimate energy healer. In fact, there is a story in Luke 8:43-48 that says this: “Now there was a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years; and though she had spent all she had on physicians, no one could cure her. She came up behind Jesus and touched the fringe of his clothes, and immediately her hemorrhage stopped.” The scriptures continue on to say that Jesus felt power leave him when she touched his clothing. He was the original energy healer. Danielle and I recognized that this energy we were sharing together as we offered divine love was indeed healing. We knew we may not cure the cancer of this dying woman but we could help to heal her soul by letting the divine work through us. In 1 Corinthians 12:28, it says - "Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church: first are apostles, second are prophets, third are teachers, then those who do miracles, those who have the gift of healing, those who can help others, those who have the gift of leadership, those who speak in unknown languages". If the Holy Scriptures say there are healers in the world, who are they? Why couldn’t it be pastors and Reiki masters?

About the Book
In April of 2020, Vicky and Danielle experienced an indescribable, life-altering moment that they believe catapulted their mission of teaching self-love and energetically formed a holy synergy between them.
