All eyes were on Sammy. Sammy, the only snowflake who was not symmetrical. The only snowflake who, when she was forming, was spoken to harshly by her creators. Her creators told her she was bad, terrible, and ugly. When she was formed, she didn't have perfectly matching crystals and angles and lines like all of the other snowflakes.

Sammy isn’t like the other snowflakes in school. Some snowflakes welcome her friendship, but two snowflakes do not. Shawn and Sally learn an important lesson about acceptance and the power of words. Sammy the Snowflake is a book based upon the neuroscience behind the social-emotional impact of words. The story was inspired by the work of Dr. Masaru Emoto, a pioneer in the study of water.
