Knowing

What is intuition? To put it simply, intuition is a knowing. That feeling deep down in your gut, in your soul, that says this right or wrong. However, it’s not just knowing that something is right. It is the absolute certainty that it is. This certainty is what separates intuition from a hunch. A hunch is more of a guess – although some people lump hunches in with intuition. Of course, this certainty may take time and practice to become second nature – so don’t worry if your “certainty” is lacking. Intuitive development is a quest to mine and craft this precious commodity. Using different methods and spiritual practices, those who wish to develop their intuition may learn to access this knowledge and to trust the nudges that arise as a result. The question of intuitive development is one of how to tap into intuition and believe that this information will give us the guidance we need to live the best life possible. Equally important is the knowledge that intuition will also allow us to become the best version of ourselves at almost every opportunity. What are some of the best ways to use your intuition? One of the best times to use your intuitive abilities is when meeting new people. Whether it be in a social or work situation, we are all faced with interacting, and getting to know, new people on an almost daily basis. This can often be nerve wracking and sometimes, downright scary, depending on how comfortable we are in these situations. If we learn to open and trust our intuition, it will make these meetings less anxiety inducing, allow us to feel and appear more confident, as well as allow us to truly get to know and assess the intentions of a new individual swiftly and with great accuracy. I find that the best way I have of using intuition is to employ its use in making personal decisions. What I mean by this is to use it daily to help you in making decisions like what to wear, what to eat and to prioritize the tasks that need to be accomplished daily. This may seem a mundane way to use this gift, but it provides an excellent avenue of practice for employing its use in some bigger and more difficult decisions. Using intuition to make more dramatic life changing decisions requires not only your innate developed intuition, but courage and faith. It requires a balance between head and heart. Intuition should always be tempered with discernment. By this I mean that while intuition is a Divine gift and the ultimate in Spiritual knowledge, some sense of practicality is needed to live in the “real world”.
