3. Believe in Yourself - Confidence is Key
“Confidence breeds success and success breed confidence.
Confidence applied properly surpasses genius.”
(Mike Tyson)
“To be a champ, you have to believe in yourself when no one else will.”
(Sugar Ray Leonard)
“You can’t win without confidence. If my mind can conceive it,
if my heart can believe it - then I can achieve it.”
(Muhammad Ali)
“Have a strong command voice that empowers you to honor yourself and take action, and then prove yourself and believe in yourself. Say what you want to believe and do what it takes to manifest that belief. You need self-belief to chase your own greatness.”
(Jolie Glassman)
1. What are conversations that you have with yourself that you no longer want to have?
2. What conversations would you rather have?
3. Do you feel you are a person who believes in themselves and has a great amount of confidence? Explain your answer and why you think you feel this way.
4. What conversations do you need to have to be (more) confident and believe in yourself?
5. What actions will you need to take? By when will you take them?
6. How would you like to feel?
7. Practice/rehearse the conversations you would rather have and get into that state of
being. Practice feeling that way. Do this work in the mirror. Journal here how it goes.
4. Develop The Internal Immunity of Grit
“There are three things you need to remember in boxing,
work hard, work harder, work hardest.”
(Manny Paquiao)
“Grit is the driver of achievement and success. It is a mixture of courage, perseverance, and resilience in the face of setbacks. Grit requires passion, consistency, and the ability to learn from criticism. Developing the internal immunity of grit builds character. Goals are set and then followed through to fruition.”
(Jolie Glassman)
1. What is an area of your life that you possess a lot of grit, and why do you think you do in this area?
2. Where is grit needed in your life that it is missing?
3. What ingredients are you missing?
4. What skills do you need to gain?
5. What is an area you want to tackle, and develop more grit?
6. What will you do specifically, and by when, to demonstrate growth in grit?
7. How will you feel when you are demonstrating it?
* Meditate with the vision and those feelings, now. Make your internal experiences, stronger than any other experiences, and then follow the rules, and allow all you dreamed and imagined to come true.
5. Willingness to Sacrifice
“I’m willing to do anything to myself to improve to be the best. I’m willing to sacrifice my body, my psychological health, to just be the best in the world. That’s what sacrifice is, you really have to sacrifice your life. I do what others are not willing to do. When you have something in life that you want to accomplish greatly, you have to be willing to give up your happiness.”
(Mike Tyson)
“Chasing mastery: becoming a champion: competing with the big dogs: being the hero of your own life; looking back without regret; and obtaining a feeling of success, fulfillment and satisfaction all require a willingness to sacrifice.”
(Jolie Glassman)
1. What is an area of your life that you feel you put in a lot of sacrificing?
2. What does sacrificing look like for you? What do you do in the doing and how does it make you feel?
3. What are you sacrificing for, what results?
4. What do you lose, and what do you gain, by sacrificing all you do?
5. Has it been worth the sacrifice? Why or why not?
6. What is an area of your life that you need to sacrifice more in order to get the desirable results you want?
7. What is holding you back and what gets in the way?
8. How bad do you want the results and what are you willing to do to make sure you get them?
9. What behaviors and attitudes and ways of being do you need to exemplify to be able to sacrifice what you need to in order to get where and what you want?
10. What specific actions can you take, and will you take, to make this happen, and sacrifice more to get the results you wanted?
11. In the areas you do sacrifice much to get what you want, what do you do to get through the sacrifice and how do you feel once you do sacrifice and get what you want? How does it make you feel once accomplished, knowing you sacrificed so much to get there?
• Practice feeling those ways more often and when tackling something that requires sacrifice, trigger yourself into feeling those ways of having it accomplished and do what it takes to get there while existing in these feelings.
